“It’s a mouth, without any visible teeth, but with breath, a glottis, vocal chords. A private organ, but that continues to articulate, vocalize, emit, and chop the air into fragments of breath.” Speech becomes sensation, mechanic, material, and a sonorous incarnation. Mon corps parle tout seul reunites the author Yoann Thommerel, a composer enthralled by the plasticity of Daniele Ghisi’s electronics, and the director Daniel Jeanneteau who makes sound a crucial element of his scenography. The trio treads along the invisible boundary between installation and live performance.
