Danse Macabre
Enclosed in a spherical world we travel simultaneously in three different points both models, but miniature and gigantic at the same time. The scenes represented by the model are ghostly and immobile vestiges of the medieval iconography which are deformed, transformed and destroyed to finally reborn. The meeting of three disproportionates human skulls, vanities, triggers perturbation up to chaos. Skeletons dance to announce this change. A cycle of continual construction and deconstruction takes place.

Itaca è un’antologia di brani che rimandano, più o meno direttamente, ad alcuni capolavori della storia della musica, passata e recente, da Ockegem a Grisey, che hanno segnato in qualche modo il mio percorso e la mia formazione. Riprenderli in mano, e utilizzarli come materiale primo, è stata per me un’occasione per chiedermi che cosa sia davvero universale, e che cosa sia davvero autentico. Appartenenza, universalità, autenticità: nelle mani dei compositori sono concetti che spesso collidono con i compartimenti stagni del diritto d’autore. In fin dei conti, tutta la musica è meta-musica.
